Zanzibar Review

Review
It has 3 rooms which cater to Dance, RnB, Hip Hop and Pop. Previously the Cathelco Group's most profitable investment, Zanzibar was the main place to go out. Early 2005 saw the rising of the club, Lava & Ignite. This gave the people of Chesterfield a much needed alternative. Suffering from lack of investment, Zanzibar did little to improve itself over the years when it was the focal point of Chesterfield's nightlife.
The site itself can cater to upto 3000 people and is reasonably nice inside, but something so big in size should have the personality to back it up, which Zanzibar lacks.
At this point in time the club maybe 'closing down'. In reality what will happen is that it will probably change it's name and get a much needed refurbishment. Hopefully they will start adding more diversity into the tracklists and offer alternative music nights, which extend past pop music.
